About the Author

I'm Ben Wahab, owner and developer of snypa.co.uk and graduate of the University of Hull, UK.

I currently work within an elite team of multi-faceted post-doctoral chemists for a contract synthesis company in Sheffield city centre, working in CADD and drug discovery.

At the time of writing, I am working on a second Post Graduate Diploma (in Management) and my Chartered Chemist status (CChem).

| Research Interests

  • Microfluidic synthesis of pharmaceutically relevant materials, and the radiolabelling thereof, for the purposes of drug lead development (e.g. AMDE, PK/PD trials).

  • High speed microfluidic radiochemical tagging of tracers for PET/SPECT.

  • Deployment of microreactors for complex syntheses (e.g. total synthesis arrays) - Integrated Chemical Sequencing for extensive multi-component reactions.

  • Computer Aided Drug Design, namely molecular docking as HTS, and 3D pharmacophore development
